The main objective of this trial is to collect information on the outcomes and treatment methods used in patients receiving percutaneous coronary intervention of chronic total occlusions. The main outcome to be measured is the success rates of the procedure.
The details
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a non-surgical method used to treat narrowed arteries (supply blood to the heart) that is commonly associated with heart disease. Chronic total occlusions (CTOs) refers to the complete/almost complete blockage of the heart's arteries for 30 or more days. PCI of CTOs is increasingly being used to treat patients that have severe heart disease.
The main aim of this trial is to gather information from patients currently undergoing PCI treatment for CTOs and to determine the strategies and procedures used immediately and during follow-up.
Who are they looking for?
Patients who are undergoing PCI for CTOs at participating centers will be eligible for this trial.
How will it work
Information will be collected from patients undergoing CTO PCI in participating centers. This information will be used to determine how often CTO PCI is performed at these sites. It will also examine the procedures and strategies used during the procedure and during follow-up.
