Eggs that haven’t been washed will keep for a number of weeks at standard room temperature, but you may need to get those direct from the hen.
It would be nice to make a distinction between self defrosting freezers (which periodically, maybe daily, warm enough to clear the coils) and those that remain at steady temperature. It seems to make quite a bit of difference for freezer burn and the periodic warming must affect storage life.
