A review of studies on the effects of music for patients undergoing urological procedures found that music helped to reduce pain and anxiety. For the last few years I have shared music that readers have found healing or helpful for coping during times of stress and anxiety. Today’s post continues the tradition as we come to the end of 2019.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” ― Plato

Gabriel’s Oboe

“A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.” ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Somewhere over the Rainbow – Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwoʻole

“Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.” ― Confucius

Mononoke Hime – ANÚNA
