“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” Anne Frank
After a year of being part of this amazing project, I would like explain what I know about Medivizor and why I have placed my reputation on the line in support of this company.
Learning and Service
“The time is always right to do right.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
There is much to learn from the people who decided to start this company. At the heart of their work is giving. Having experienced the difficult challenge of finding accurate, up-to-date, and easily understandable health information online, they decided to use their software skills to create Medivizor.
There seem to be a lot of companies out there that are interested in making a quick buck off of patients and caregivers. That is not the case with this company. The motivation behind Medivizor is to serve.
How has Medivizor kept afloat?
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, that’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
At the moment, it is through the charitable giving of the founders and angel investors that this service is available. They are trying to create a model in which the privacy of patients and caregivers is maintained. They are HIPAA compliant–something other organizations that are collecting patient information are not able to say. They are not making money at the moment and will find a way to survive that WILL NOT compromise the privacy of their subscribers. Anybody can sign up anonymously with just an email address and a nickname or screen name. Signing up for information from Medivizor is safe. I believe this.
Why I work for Medivizor? Values and Service
“It is better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness.” Confucius
That is why I am working for Medivizor. Because of the values that they are upholding and their interest in empowering patients and caregivers. I want to thank all of the people involved for their incredible vision and for the opportunity to be a part of it.
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi
