Looking for patients with diabetic kidney disease to try new drug
This trial is examining the safety and effectiveness of the new drug LMB763 in the treatment of diabetic kidney disease. The main outcome to be measured will be a change in kidney function. This study is being conducted in Florida and Oklahoma, the United States.

This study assessed the risks of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients developing chronic kidney disease (CKD) and glomerulonephritis (GN), and subsequently developing cardiovascular (CV) complications. The study concluded that there was an increased risk of CKD and GN in RA patients, and an increased risk of CV complications in patients with RA and CKD.

Gestational diabetes: Is it related to type 2 diabetes in the mother and obesity in the children?
This study investigated if gestational diabetes is associated with future diabetes issues in the mother after she gives birth, and if it is associated with obesity in the child she gave birth to. The study found that there was a higher risk in the mothers of future diabetes issues if she suffered from gestational diabetes during the pregnancy. There was no association between gestational diabetes in the mother and obesity in the child.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a fixed combination of lixisenatide (Lyxumia) and insulin glargine (Lantus) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes (T2D) in older patients. The main finding of the study was that a lixisenatide/insulin glargine (iGlarLixi; Soliqua) combination improved blood glucose control in patients older than 65 years, without increasing the risk of hypoglycemia (dangerously low blood glucose levels).
