Worldwide Awareness

How can we reduce the burden of cancer worldwide? How can I help in reducing the burden of cancer worldwide? These are the questions that the World Cancer Day campaign would like all of us to ask ourselves today.

World Cancer Day was started in 2000 during the World Summit Against Cancer for the New Millenium held in Paris. It is an attempt to push for greater awareness of cancer.

Below is an Infographic created by the CDC for context on the global burden of cancer.

How Can I Help?

One idea to help is by sharing health information you find here on Medivizor on social media. Tweet, Update on Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ or email content to spread the word. Check our library of summarized journal articles on cancer or read our blog on prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer.
