Medivizor Supported Conditions Word Cloud

Medivizor already supports over 600 discrete medical conditions in several broad categories – but we know there’s much more to do! We want to help everybody coping with serious or chronic illness as quickly as we can, so we are continuously expanding to support additional medical conditions.

Our process to add medical conditions

For each condition we add, we work with leading experts in the disease domain, model it, create original content, and ramp up curation of cutting-edge content. This list is updated as new conditions are added.

When we add a condition, we first add it for early adopters in a sort of “soft launch”. They are marked as “early “.

We also work with sponsoring organizations to add coverage to medical conditions. For instance, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are sponsoring the introduction of blood cancers to Medivizor. If you want to support Medivizor’s coverage of a condition you care about, please email us at partners@medivizor.com and we’ll be happy to discuss this with you.

How we prioritize medical conditions

As we expand, we use the following criteria to prioritize medical conditions:

  • Prevalence and incidence of the medical condition – we want to help as many as we can, so how many people are actually coping with it and how many people are diagnosed with the medical condition are a prime consideration.
  • Researcher per incident – how many people become “chronic web researchers” about their medical condition when being diagnosed varies per condition. For instance, hypertension is prevalent, but doesn’t create a lot of researchers per incident. On the other hand, cancer typically causes more online research by patients and caregivers.
  • Registered users waiting for the condition – you can sign up to Medivizor and be on our waitlist for the supported condition. The more people we know of that are actually waiting for us to support a medical condition, the more motivated we are to help them first.
  • Sponsorship availability – as mentioned above, sponsors interested in adding coverage for a medical condition can reach out to us and help support us in this effort to bring latest, cutting-edge, and trusted medical science to the people it matters most – patients, their caregivers, and their medical teams.
